Our school commemorated Buddha Purnima on Wednesday, 13th May with a special assembly led by students of classes VII and VIII. This event honored the birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana of Lord Buddha, emphasizing his teachings of peace, compassion, and mindfulness.A student delivered a speech on the relevance of Buddha’s teachings in today’s world. Students presented a short skit depicting key events from Buddha’s life.
On May 6, 2025, our school observed International Red Cross Day during the morning assembly to honor the humanitarian work carried out by the Red Cross Society worldwide. The event aimed to spread awareness among students about the principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality, which are the core values of the Red Cross.
The assembly began with a presentation by class VIII students depicting how Red Cross volunteers provide help during natural disasters and emergencies.The Principal addressed the gathering and emphasized the need for compassion, service, and unity in today’s world. The event concluded with a pledge to contribute towards helping those in need and promoting humanitarian values.The celebration left a meaningful impact on students and staff, reinforcing the importance of service to society.
The International Astronomy Day Assembly was held on Tuesday, 29.04.25 in the school auditorium with great enthusiasm and participation. The event aimed to ignite curiosity and spread awareness about the wonders of the universe among students. A captivating skit performed by students, highlighting major astronomical discoveries .To make the assembly interactive, a short astronomy quiz was conducted, with prizes awarded to the winners.
Class VII-VIII students amazed everyone with powerful verses and vivid imagination! From solo creations in prelims to dynamic duos in finals, creativity ruled the stage. Huge applause to all budding poets!
From dressing up as characters from timeless tales in “Dress to Impress” (Grades III-IV), dramatic storytelling in “Spectacular Scenes” (Grades V-VI), poetic flair in “Pen a Poem” (VII-VIII), to mythological research and podcasting for seniors — English Week is here to celebrate creativity, expression, and voice!
The Philately Exhibition was a grand success, bringing together enthusiasts, students, and collectors to explore the fascinating world of stamps.
Day 2 was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries Sh. Harsh Malhotra ji( Member of Lok Sabha), Col. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey Ji (CPMG), HoS Renu Ajay & Mr. Nikhil Maheshwari from Management of G.D.Goenka Public School. East Delhi. Interschool Drawing Competition was organised that unleashed the creativity of the young artists by designing unique and imaginative drawing. Magic Show added a touch of wonder to the event, and captivated the audience.InterschoolQuiz competition highlighted enthusiastic participation from students , testing their knowledge of philately, history, and postal services.The main highlight of the event was prize distribution ceremony wherein Sh. Harsh Malhotra ji honored the winners and presented them certificates as a token of appreciation.
