The school, hosted an All Faith Assembly on Jan 30, 2024, uniting students and teachers in prayer, shlokas, and a tribute to Martyrs Day. The event showcased diverse cultural expressions, commemorated Martyrs Day, emphasized unity and mutual respect for different faiths. G. D. Goenka Public School, East Delhi witnessed the celebration of Republic Day on 25th January, 2024. Students, Staff and Faculty members filled with a feeling of patriotism and dedication were gathered in the school ground. The celebration commenced with a heart –warming speech of Swami Vivekanand, followed by a Mime-Act, depicting nation’s surgical strike by Indian Army against the terrorists. The students of primary grade, then, dressed as freedom fighters and political leaders acquainted the audience with the sacrifices and achievements of the great Indian leaders.
The atmosphere reverberated with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm by our school choir song which was followed by an amalgamation of singing and exquisite dance ensemble. The school was further delved into the multi-faceted aspects of tourism by a speech on National Tourism Day. The celebration culminated with singing of the National Anthem. The one hour celebration indeed instilled a sense of patriotism, unity and respect for the country.

What an incredible achievement for the school! Dev Bansal, a student in class 5-B, secured the esteemed title of National Champion at the National Abacus Championship, bringing immense pride. His exceptional feat was recognized on National Maths Day at IIT Delhi on December 22, 2023, where he received accolades a trophy and a 3100 rupee prize cheque.
The school observed Veer Bal Diwas on 26 December 2023, to pay tribute to the sacrifices made by the four Sahibzadas. On this occasion,a special assembly was conducted for classes 9-12. A speech was delivered by a student of class 9, sharing the significant contribution made by the four Sahibzadas in the Indian history. The most prominent part of the assembly was the live telecast of the honourable Prime Minister's virtual address to students, highlighting the role each one of us can play in making our world better. To commemorate the day, an Essay writing competition was also organised in the school as a tribute to The Veers. The picture gallery was also displayed in the classes for the students to get inspired and learn the valuable lesson of courage and bravery through the tale of Four Sahibzadas
G.D. Goenka School, East Delhi held an Emergency Evacuation Drill and Fire Safety Demonstration, partnering with CBD Shahdara Fire Station last week. The entire school swiftly evacuated and participated in a session on fire safety and preventive measures. An enlightening session educated the children on emergency usage and provided valuable do's and don'ts post evacuation.
Once again our talented little goenkans proved themselves at an inter school patriotic group song competition held at Gandhi Darshan Rajghat . They competed with 32 reputed schools from Delhi - NCR and won the consolation prize. Their performance was highly appreciated by the judges and the audience.
The Inter-House Math Rangometry Competition for classes VII & VIII showcased creativity and innovation. Teams created stunning Rangolis using colored powders, chalk, and various materials to depict mathematical concepts like 2D/3D shapes, tessellations, and geometric patterns. The event, promoting teamwork and creativity, instilled a deeper love for math among participants. Ms. Renu Ajay, the Head of School, announced the results during the assembly.
