Everyone at G.D. Goenka came together to celebrate Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The celebration featured a flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the national anthem, inspiring speeches by the Chief Guests, and captivating student performances in choir, yoga, skating and march past added a visual dimension to the celebration. An inspiring speech by the HoS, highlighted the importance of Independence Day and the responsibilities of young citizens in nation-building.

The school proudly hosted the Inter School Literary Regale Language Laureates on August 3rd, 2024, with over 20 schools from Delhi-NCR participating. From mesmerizing masquerades to thought-provoking TED Talks, the event showcased incredible talent in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, and French. Kudos to all participants for their vibrant performances and to the dedicated teachers for meticulous planning. Special thanks to the esteemed judges for their support and the acknowledgement by the HoS ma'am.

The Inter House SCI- INNOVATORS Competition was held on for classes IX-XII. The Competition had two categories- Category A for students of grade IX & X and Category B for students of grade XI & XII. The judges for the event were Mr. Anuj Talwar, School alumni and Mrs. Arushi Sharma, School Science Faculty. The participants showcased their innovative ideas through the working models and prototypes. They were judged on the basis of imagination, presentation, innovation, application in daily life and scientific thought, principle and approach applied.
The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and their scientific temperament was highly appreciated. They presented their thought-provoking ideas to the best of their abilities.

Earth’s beauty is our duty; think green and live clean’
G.D. Goenka Public School, East Delhi celebrated the National Paper Day on 1st August’ 24 with gaiety and fervor. The occasion was graced by MP, Harsh Malhotra and many distinguished guests from Paper Merchants Association, Delhi.
The event began with a welcome song followed by the lamp lighting ceremony. Mr. Harsh Malhotra, then inaugurated the newly built football turf ground, took a tour of the paper recycling unit of the school and participated in a tree plantation drive. The school has been recycling paper for the past eight years. Vice Chairman of the school, Mr. Govind Maheshwari felicitated the guests with saplings and emphasized on using eco-friendly material for our everyday needs. The last segment included a powerpoint presentation by Paper Merchants Association of Delhi. The ppt emphasized on the versatility of paper in printing, packaging, wrapping, e-commerce sector, cleaning and many more areas. HoS, Ms. Renu Ajay thanked the distinguished guests and urged everyone to use paper responsibly highlighting the Rs of zero waste i.e. reduce, reuse and recycle. The event concluded with distribution of paper bags and diaries to the staff by the association.

Our Inter House Competition for classes 7 & 8 brought the Music Room alive with the spirit of patriotism through powerful poetry recitations. The young Goenkans passionately showcased their love for the nation, leaving the judges deeply impressed with their fervent presentations. Participants were well-prepared and determined, making every effort to earn a spot among the winners. Certificates were awarded by Ms. Shilpi, and the event concluded successfully, celebrating the talent and patriotism of our students.
The "Discover India Quiz," hosted by Radhakrishnan House, brought the vibrancy of Indian culture and history to life for students from classes 9 to 12! Congratulations to Vivekanand House for clinching first place, followed by Radhakrishnan House in second and Tagore House in third. The quiz's engaging rounds, including rapid-fire questions and interactive segments, sparked excitement and teamwork. This event not only boosted students' knowledge but also deepened their appreciation for India's rich heritage.

Tashiya Singh (Cadet Sabre Team) won Bronze Medal in Commonwealth Fencing Competition at Christchurch, New Zealand.
