The participants performed with great enthusiasm and zeal. The participantsrnrecited the Shloks with clarity and confidence. The judges gave an inspiring and honestrnfeedback to the participants at the end of the competition.
Class II B students celebrated Janamashtmi by organising a Special Assembly. The festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great zeal and fervor in the school auditorium. The celebration included scintillating dance performances by the young students and inspirational talks on teaching of Lord Krishna that highlighted the significance of the occasion. The short skit on the life of Lord Krishna made students realize the importance of positivity for progress in life. The assembly concluded with the teacher talk that focused on the purpose of Janamashthmi celebration. The spirit of divinity and an aura of spirituality was spread all around and provided the young learners an opportunity to promote goodness and cherish the bond with the almighty.
Participants from all four houses put forth their enthralling performances. The children sang the song with confidence and passion. They used musical instruments to gear up their performance.
A Bookmark making activity was conducted for class V-B in the school library. The students used their creative ideas to prepare different bookmarks. The importance of using a bookmark was also explained by the school Librarian.
STUDENT APPRECIATION VANSH BANSAL OF VI-B
Appeared in UCMAS Annual State Level Listening Competition 2022 held on 21st August 2022, The competition was a single knockout tournament testing the Listening skills, Concentration and Arithmetic Skills of the participants. He secured 1st Runner Up position in the competition.
There were total 4 rounds in the quiz. There were 4 participating teams each having 4 members. The teams competed in a very enthusiastic manner and showcased their technical skills and knowledge. First position was bagged by Radhakrishnan house followed by Teresa and Tagore house.
Students of class nursery participated in crown making craft activity. Through this activity children were able to develop fine motor skills like pinching glitters, folding paper or putting fevicol. They also learnt focus and concentration and to minimize the distraction while working. Along with it they have been taught to work with patience, while letting the craft to dry or to glitter to settle children took time and work upon it. Through the craft time children are being guided simultaneously they have been given free space to show their creativity and express their thoughts. Before the Janamashtmi craft, story was also narrated of lord Krishna birth and discussion about how we celebrate Janamashtmi.
The school celebrated 75 years of Independence. Shri. R Sathiyasundaram (IPS), DCP, Shahdara, East Delhi graced the occasion along with the members of the management committee. The students presented cultural program to showcase the progress of the country during 75 years following Independence. The chief guest addressed the students and the staff to bring to the fore the call for Har Ghar Tiranga and motivated them to be the pillars of a brighter and stronger India.
Trees represent life, growth, peace and nature. They produce oxygen, clean soil, prevent drought, control flood related disasters, prevent soil erosion, improve physiological, mental and spiritual health, and also reduce carbon footprints. Keeping this in mind the Management, Principal, Teachers and students enthusiastically planted various saplings in school premises. Teachers and students adopted a plant sapling and took a pledge to take care of it. Such little steps taken together by the school and students will surely help in fostering strong mental and social health amongst today’s children so that they connect with their peers, their elders, their community and their environment.
Little Goenkans of Class 1 and 2 had a special assembly on Independence Day. It began with the morning prayer, followed by shlok recitation, and then news. After this, there were amazing patriotic dance performances & patriotic songs. Students narrated stories of martyrs related, speak-a -boo activity about freedom fighters. Lastly, the assembly ended with the singing of national anthem.
